rafty Kids is a not-for-profit in its beginning stages. The program is a partnership between a group of New York kids and a school in Kenya. The goal is to teach kids in New York City design and toy making. After several months of creating and making products, they will travel to Kenya to teach a group of kids there what they know about design and making toys. Together they will design and create a product to be sold in high-end stores in the United States. All profit from sales of Crafty Kids products will go back to the school in Kenya. Ten percent of each Lindie & Friends sale is donated to Crafty Kids. The Crafty Kids project is built on the following ideas: change starts small and can happen both globally and locally, and we learn the most through teaching others.
